As we consider the fact that PDF is one of the most popular document formats that people use nowadays, we came up with an idea to help you create stunning PDF files which can attract readers and enhance the effectiveness of the way you deliver the message. In today’s tutorial, our tool-of-choice is Wondershare PDFElement and this program will allow us to turn the “typical” white background of a PDF document to a beautiful and attractive one that would catch everyone’s attention from the first moment.

In this article:
Step 1: Open PDF file in the program
Run the program >> click Open File button to browse and import your PDF file to the program.
Wait a second for it to import your file.
Here’s an example of a document with plain white background:
Step 2: Select background image
On menu bar, click Edit >> Background >> New background >> Add Background window appears.
In Add Background window, you can change the background color >> OK.
More professionally, you can add a separate image file as a new background for PDF file:
- Switch to File tab (1)
- Click Browse to find your favorite image (2)
- Adjust Appearance settings (3) to rotate and fit the image to the PDF file. Also set the page(s) you would like to have this new background applied.

Step 3: Save output file
If you’re now satisfied with the new PDF file, click File >> Save As >> Choose location folder for the new PDF file.
