Are there measures I can take to stop my Mac from crashing so often?

Unfortunately, many of you have likely encountered the alerts depicted in Figure 1. Frequently Patch

Microsoft, Apple, and Parallels often release updates which bring about fresh features and also solve pre-existing problems. By regularly installing these updates, you can proactively prevent certain crashes. The dialogs depicted in Figure 2 are used to initiate the update process. I suggest setting up a recurring reminder in your online calendar to regularly check for the availability of new updates.

If your Mac resembles both of these scenarios, with numerous apps running and multiple documents open, it’s important to note that this setup may invite trouble. While macOS is designed to handle such situations in theory, it’s not advisable in practice.

I recall a conversation with a proud Mac user who boasted about never quitting apps, believing that the Mac should handle everything. However, relying solely on OS updates and occasional crashes to quit running apps is not recommended.

I sincerely hope that implementing these suggestions will help reduce the frequency of crashes you encounter. Share your experience and provide tips on the Forums, as well as on Facebook and Twitter channels.
