How to Restore Profiles with SyncBackSE and SyncBackPro

Losing profiles on SyncBackSE or SyncBackPro can happen due to various reasons, such as Windows reinstallation, profile corruption, accidental deletion, etc. This guide will walk you through the process of restoring your profiles using the automatic backup feature. By default, SyncBackSEand SyncBackPro create backups of all profiles when the program is closed.

1. Locate Backup Folder

If you haven’t changed the default backup settings, your profiles’ backup copies are stored in the following folder:

C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local\2BrightSparks\SyncBack\Profiles Backup 

Replace [username] with your Windows login username.

2. Explore Sub-Folders

Inside the backup folder, you’ll find sub-folders named Mon, Tue, etc., each containing backups of your profiles. These folders are organized by days, allowing you to revert to a specific day’s backup in case of mistakes.

3. Import Profiles

To import the profiles, navigate to Export/Import -> Import Profile in the main menu. Note that the AppData folder is hidden by Windows, so make sure to configure Windows File Explorer to show hidden files and folders.
